You ovulate to release an egg. When that egg goes unfertilized your body has a period to flush out the dead egg.
When you are preggo you DO NOT have a period because the pregnancy stops ovulation.
This makes since if you think about it....why would you need ovulation if your already preggo!
No Ovulation + No Egg = No Period
You can have bleeding but its not a true "period"
You need to go see a Dr. It sounds like something may be going wrong since you said bleeding but didn't indicate that it was light.

If you are getting your period...I would see the doctor immediately...getting a full period during pregnancy is definately not normal. You may experience some bleeding...the is called a showing...which can be normal...but you might have to go easy doing things. A full period however in not a good sign.

The first thing you should to is go see your doctor. He will tell you for sure if you are or are not. There is a high miscarriage rate within the first few months of pregnancy. Howver It is possible to bleed some while you are pregnant but only your doctor can tell you what it safe for you and your baby.

you could bleed during pregnancy, yes. I know when my mom was pregnant with me she bled the first few months - so she didn't even know she was pregnant. If you know you're pregnant and are bleeding, the best thing you can do is get to the doctor. There are too many risks not worth taking when pregnant.

Yes, you can still have regular periods when you're pregnant. You should go to a doctor for a blood test to see if it was just a false positive.

Yes you can. it may not be very heavy, but you can get them all through your pregnancy. A preg test will still give you the right answer, so don't worry to much!
