I will try but you need to ask the question better. This is a ratio problem. roundtrip=26.9 km halfdone=13.5km.

lengthoftrailonmap=2.5 cm(or25)
roundtrip 3km

by substitution lengthoftrailonmap=2.5cm(or25)
26.9km 3km

26.9km x lengthoftrailonmap=2.5cm(or25) x 26.9km
26.9km 3km

cancel and divide

lengthoftrailonmap=2.5cm(or25) x8.6=21.5cm(or215)

or did you want the length of the halfdone trail on the map. Half the above answer.

The trail is 26.9 km, which can be rounded to 27. With a scale of 2.5cm=3km, dividing 27 km by 3 is 9, and 9 x 2.5 = 22.5 cm.

well, round trip. so half is 13.45km. then find out how many threes there are in that. take that answer then multiply by 2.5.

13.45 divide by 3 equals approx. 4.48
4.48 times 2.5=11.2 cm

hope that helps
