Living in Canda prohibits a lot of information that the "states' folks might be able to help you with. Your best -bet is to contact your local rental stores for opportunities there. Here, in Nashville, there is an advertisement called "Hippo" which promotes a brand new computer with all the trimmings and an MP3 - without credit of ANY KIND. Now, that, to me, sends up a red flag - however, there are people who have used them and said they're ok. I financed my computer through Dell and got a great discount because 1) I was in grad school 2) I am a teacher. Look for ways that a computer would enhance your employment. Also, there may be social services available who might have contacts with people who will "gift" you a computer depending on what your purpose for use might be. Good luck. In this day and age - you're a dinasour without a computer.
