i at least make an attempt to understand anything that i don't know about otherwise i feel i'm not growing as a person.

I make an attempt to understand it. I tend to be one of those things that people fear based on whom I love, and so I know what it is to be feared without understanding. It hurts and it weakens the heart. I may not always understand somthing, and I might have a strong feeling about it, but that doesn't always mean i fear it, either. But I always make the attempt to understand. Sometimes I have to bypass human knee jerk reactions, but I always make the effort.

I fear what I don't understand and I honestly don't try to understand it. Unless of course I feel it would benefit me to overcome my fear. However, I also fear what I do understand from bad experience.

I don't do either.
If I don't understand it then what am I fearing?
If I try to understand it then where is the adventure in it?
I just go with the flow until it reveals it's meaning to me.

I fear only what has the ability to kill the soul.
Otherwise I have to assess what is new, compare it to my knowledge and belief, and then decide how I will react to it.
Theres a lot I dont understand, like, what makes people hate strangers, or what makes a mother kill her child, I dont fear those things, although I can form very strong opinions about them.

for most folks fear boils down to a fear of the unknown or ultimately of death
when we don't understand something, just don't be too quick to judge.
its a chance to learn new things

You should never fear anything. I don't. Everything's is simple once it's understood. It's a matter of Cognitive Dissonance.

I always try to understand. But sometimes you spend to much time trying to understand and their is no answer.
