the quality of (permitting ) things .
if someone has a LOT of permissiveness , they will let (allow)you do anything you want or ask for.
on the other hand , no permissiveness means you are not allowed to do what you want .

for example :
the software has a lot of PERMISSIVENESS , every user can modify the user interface to better suit them .
