It was by the same guy (Oliver Postgate) who made the Clangers. This family lived in a sort of tree stump and they had this plant in the garden which they used to ply with elderberry wine to get it to tell them a story ! I'm not making it up honest !
BBC watch with mother mid/early seventies.

There's a bit of nostalgia. Yes Oliver Postgate with other such classics as Ivor the Engine and Noggin the Nog with his enemy Nogbad the Bad.

I remember it ! it was a bit weird, they did have to give the plant some wine to get it in the story mood ! I loved the clangers too ! I remember Ivor the Engine i thought the graphics a bit rough on that ! I've seriously considered trying to knit a Clanger (how sad is that).

Pogles wood is a childrens show airing from 1965 - 1968 produced by BBC and Smallfilms. It has a dark edge to it and the first episode was considered scary for small children. I've seen it before.

My son is in pre-school and he has a friend who is the image of 'Pippin'. Oliver Postgate (if still alive should be knighted) I have such fond memories of all of his programmes.
