I recently put a new hardrive into my pc, it finds it under the cmos and if i go 2 control panel add hardware it is installed, the problem is i cant see it in my computer or explorer so i cant format it or use it, help please.

I presume you are using windows xp. Go to Control panel->performance and maintenance->Administrative tools-> computer management
or
straight to Control panel->Administrative tools-> computer management if u r using the classic view of control panel
then from the pane on the left, choose disk management, and you should be able to locate the raw hard drive over here. From here you can partition and format the drive according to your need.

download a win 98 boot disk from www.bootdisk.com - boot from this then fdisk and format the newdrive
