I would suggest you visit your doctor and describe the symptoms that you experience with your mood swings to him or her. There are medications that can be prescribed for you that will take care of the mood swings and make life a little more pleasant for you. I would not worry that there is anything seriously wrong. There are hundreds of thousands of people in the world with the same problem and lead normal lives.

It may be a multitude of things that are causing this emotional jump. It could be repressed feelings or a chemical imbalance. But, at least you are aware of it and wanting to change, and that's good.

I'd suggest you see a licensed psychiatrist. They can usually assess exactly what is causing these mood swings and suggest ways to correct it.

Mood swings are normal in alot of people, but when they are extreme, it could be your hormones, (you don't have to be 'older'), or you could even be bi-polar. See a Dr.
