I want to know why there are mail order brides, but we women can't just order from, say, Sweden or England, and get ourselves a mail order husband. Hm?

You are not looking in the right places then! My great great great granddad had an 18 y/o mail order bride when he was in his 70's. I searched this info out while messing around with our genealogy. I found that Poland is very big on mail order brides, but they also have mail order husbands who are begging to get to the U.S.A. So does allot of countries near this region! I think if you are serious about looking into this, find the culture that you find appealing in character and search a bit harder. My friend dislikes the way American women have turned out, and went looking for a Japanese woman, they appealed to his chauvinistic style of thinking and found a perfect match.

Mail order brides get return plane tickets sent to them. If they decide to give the guy a chance they expect to be supported. If a lady did that for me I'd be at the airport today. By the way, you look lovely.
