It's a front load washer with the pull out tray for the soap and whatnot. I have tried unplugging it and I have unloaded it. When I plugged it in this morning the start light is blinking and so are all of the other ones. When I push start the rinse light comes on and then they all start to blink again. I am thinking it might be the door lock because the door lock light doesn't come on when the rinse light does. This is my only Christmas present to myself and it's broken. I will get nothing else for Christmas. We live in Cleveland, GA. The GE phone # I called gave me a repair man that will show up on Tuesday and Home Depot hasn't got any repair people that can help. I paid $500 for this washer. Can anyone help me have a Merry Christmas by telling me how to get it working???? If it's a mechanical problem like a blown computer or something is broken then I have to wait because of the warrentee. But if it's a reset problem then can someone tell me how to do that it's not in the book

Refer to the owners manuel, there should be a troubleshooting section..See if theres any thing there can help you, it maybe something really simple..IF that does not work, then wait for the repairman..Or call the GE hot line and see if they can help you over the phone?
Good Luck..Hopefully this helps
Merry Christmas

You shouldn't open the panels. If you do it could void the warranty. I would either take it back to the store, which would be quite a task, or unfortunately, you will have to wait for GE.

I have 364 units, all with Ge products in them and I am not impressed . I have always delt with Whirlpool until the past few years.
Good Luck and Merry Christmas anyway!

Just for everybodys information - that GE washer is made by
Frigidaire and if you dont get a good tip from the owners manual,
wait for service. If you tell them you want it replaced, they usually
bring you one that was repossesed from somebody else.

read your owners manual first. there should be trouble shooting guide. If that doesnt help then you will have to wait for the repair man. i would tell them you want a new washer. since it was new in the first place why replace parts with a lemon!

GE is the worst manufacturer of appliances in the world. If you work on it it will void the warranty. see if you can get your money back and get a Maytag or Whirlpool

It's all electronic. Your only choice is to call for service. Keep a service contract on it. All brands of electronic washers have issues.

take a deep breath. re read the owners manual. i forgot, exhale and breath normal! check the trouble shooting guide, see if one or more problems apply to what is happening. for my money i would see if they will take it back. go with a whirlpool instead. good luck and enjoy your christmas
