That is the problem with pro sports. They are no longer sports but spectacles: Bigger scores, bigger gates. The worst is American Basket Ball. No longer is it necessary to dribble the ball. I noticed this several times, in passing, and I am not even a fan. Another crap aspect of sports is the way International soccer players fake fouls and start crying and writhing on the ground in excruciatingly fake pain until they get the game winning one point goal. Is there no dignity?

I think that they should at least try it but it does have its pros and cons. I think this season has been great for scoring , having teams score more the 3 goals some nights are great but for an every game thing it will ware the fans out. Which could be bad for owners cuz why would fans want to see they same thing over and over. If there going to make the nets bigger then let the goalies equipment bigger its only far. Also it make the goalies tired cuz they would have to move around a lot more but would be a lot bigger for goalies that find it a little tight like Ray Emery mention on Off the Record on TSN.

they've change everything to make the scoring increase with the goalies smaller pads, taking out the red line, more power plays and now they want to make the nets bigger, personally i don't want to see a game 9-2 yes sometimes its great to see your team kick a-s-s but seriously that takes the skills from the game away. i rather see the score 4-3 a tight game more action and better game to watch. Bettman needs to leave the game alone he is hurting the game its not making it any better. the NHL are starting to lose there big fans and that's not good for the game.

Another stupid Bettman idea. It seems they want to screw up hockey for good, leave the nets alone!! I love hockey and although it is great to watch the skilled guys perform their magic I am just as happy to watch a tight checking game when the guys have to work hard for any opportunity (although I admit i cant stand the old left wing lock...really boring). 2-1 games are pretty exciting and are the reality of playoff hockey. If scoring a ton of goals is that important to them then they need a new sport to watch. He needs to go back to the NBA so he can see all the scoring his heart desires.

i read the article and it said that scoring is down? I thought scoring went up 33% post lockout? Goalies are already at a disadvantage why try to make things worse for them. The low scoring hard fought games are funner to watch in the 6-5 games.
