My local are connection is delivering at a speed of 100 mbps with activity. My 1394 connection is connected at 400 mbps, but there is no activity. How can I change my connection from the local to the 1394?

That's your firewire adaptor, not an internet connection. Even if you could find an ethernet to firewire adapter, you'd still be limited to 100 mbps.

there is no 1394 internet connection
that is your firewire adapter

Start> control panel>network connection>right click on the network adapter>click proprieties> check TCP/IP
