If your levels are rising, that is a great sign. Here's a link to put your hCG level in to a calculator. It helped ease my mind.

Try not to be too scared. There's not much you can do but take it easy and not lift anything over 10 pounds. Best of luck to you.

Let me start off by saying that it's a great sign that your levels are still rising and that your cervix is closed. Keep in contact with your doctor for everything and follow their orders to a T.

I know that everyone else say that spotting is normal and if the blood is brown then it's a better sign but I'm sorry to say this but I don't believe them or that spooting is normal. I have had 4 miscarriages and every single one of them the blood was brown and I only spotted! If there is blood always get it checked out. Only your doctor is going to know for sure.

Congratulations!!!!!

Are you BLEEDING (filling a whole pad with blood just like you were on a period) or are you spotting (some intermitant blood, and pinkish spotting here and there that you can control with a panty liner)?

There is a huge difference. Spotting is normal. Bleeding without a risk of miscarriage is rare, but it does happen. My cousin had four 'periods' while she was pregnant, where she bled the same amount and just as heavily as though she were on her period.

If your doctor is indicating that your hormones are rising, and your cervix is closed, then theres not much risk in your particular case. Just follow his instructions and try to remain calm.

It's a great sign that your cervix is closed.
Of course you are going to be scared because it's not normal to bleed, but people have bled even lots through their pregnancies and delievered nice healthy babies at term.

If your numbers are going up and your closed you should be fine! Bleeding in the first trimester is common. Lay down and put your feet up and just try to rest today. If you had sex this could have been the cause.

It depends on the amount of blood and the color...if it is brown that is a good sign. It means it is old blood and probably not a concern.

If it is bright red and increases, along with cramping, that can be a bad sign.

Hang in there and good luck to you!

I'm six weeks as well. I had light brown spotting once, and I was really nervous. They say that's "Old" blood and it's fine!
