Well, from what I've seen... there are just too many young people out there that are still uncomfortable about who they are. I'm straight, but I got plenty of gay friends who have had the same problem. my roomie last semester had the same problem. I guess the best thing to do is just talk as friends to people that are actually already around you, rather than trying to find something. I know there are times it gets lonely and you really wish that you could have someone really special to be with... but sometimes it's just better if you go to a normal friend instead. Someone who you knows really cares and will listen to you without judging you. Friends like that are hard to find, I also know, but the benefits of that kind of friend are wonderful. I like to be able to go to my female friends and just talk with them and not have to be the big, tough guy that the rest of society sees me as. So, just try not to rush anything and don't worry about those kinds of things. Take things as they come and try to just make the best of the friends you have now.
