They sure aren;t used as often as they should or used to be.But, here in the South, we use them alot more than all the other regions of the country I've been to in the last six months!

No-the words themselves are not extinct-but seems like the parents that teach their children these words of manners are becoming extinct! Where have all the Good parents gone?

Pretty much so. I expect to see a display in the Museum of Natural History of Decent People, right next to the neanderthal Man display

Not while people like me are teaching our kids to use these words. Good manners cost nothing, and they make the world a better place

No, I hear those phrases all the time. I would hope that they stay in use.
I will say that some of the children I see sometimes are unaware of the polite ways of talking.

For some but just hearing it from some increases the odds that other people will say it.

With the younger generation, yes, they take everything for granted. They want it now or you can go get stuffed!! and when they get it you can still get stuffed!
