A baby's body has about 300 bones at birth
These eventually fuse (grow together) to form the 206 bones that adults have
By the time you are about 25, this process will be complete.
---the spine is made from 26 bones
---the thoracicis made from 12 bones
---our ribs are made from 12 pairs of bones
---your arm is made up of 3 bones
---the center part of your arm is made from 5 bones
---Each finger on your hand has 3 bones...So between your wrists, hands, and all your fingers, you've got a grand total of 54 bones
---the longest bone is from your pelvis to your knee
---triangular shaped bone on your knee
---below the knee 2 more bones
---The ankle is a bit different from the wrist; it is where the lower leg bones connect to a large bone in the foot called the talus (say: tal-iss). Next to the talus are six other bones. But the main part of the foot is similar to the hand, with five bones. Each toe has three tiny bones, except for your big toe, which has just two. This brings the bone total in both feet and ankles to 52!
so totally an adult have 206 bones
Merry christmas.
cheers :)

There are 206 bones in the human body. However, when you are a child, you have many more bones, probably in the 300s. At birth the human body has about 350 bones,

An
adult person has about 206 bones in his/her body. The number of bones in a
person's body varies from person to person. This is due to the discrepancies
in the number of little bones in the hands and feet. The bones in the human
body are distributed in this way: skull=29, spine=26, ribs and breastbone=25
shoulders, arms, and hands=64, pelvis, legs and feet=62. The central support
system for the body is the spine. The spine is made up of 26 linked
bones called vertebrae.

A chid is born with some 300 odd?, as the child gets older some bones fuse to become 206, I think the last bone to fuse is at the age of about 20 years

It is very interesting for instance, while the adult skeleton contains 206 bones, the skeleton of an infant contains 350 (the bones fuse together as you grow). And more than half of your 206 bones are found in your hands and feet.

The average adult human has 206 bones, it's a different number for children, if I remember correctly it is slightly higher due to things like the cranium having three bones before "melding" into one.
