I am going to Disney World with my school soon, and I was planning to go on Mount Everest. If you have been on it, can you please give me a description of what it was like?

Theres better coasters out there but it still rocks!!!!!!! So yes lol When you get on you climb up a big hill and its really cool because you can see other parks if you look to your left! Then you go into the mountain which is dark but its not scary, you then go to a dead end where you stop and go backwards into the mountain. You stop inside and see a projection of the Yeti. You are then thrusted forwards again down the big hill which is the best part for me! You return into the mountain where you see the Yeti. He just kinda stands there and swings his arm while growling. The ride is over shortly after this. Forgive me if this discription is a little off for it has been a few months since I have riden. When I rode this I was very lucky... I was in the single rider line and I got put in the front row! Have a good time. You will enjoy the ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Expedition Everest: Legend of the Forbidden Mountain is an incredible attraction. The detail is absolutely amazing. The ride is a somewhat intense. Not bad, but not exactly what you'd expect. The roller coaster reaches speeds of about 50mph hour forwards and 40 mph in reverse. Everyone has already given you a pretty decent description of the attraction, but the Cast Member made a minor mistake. You obviously see the silhouette of the Yeti tearing the tracks before you stop at the torn tracks. I've been on it before, and I've seen five different shows on how the Imagineers constructed the ride. It wouldn't make sense for them to show the tracks being torn after you've already seen them torn. But anyway, when you come to the torn tracks you begin going backwards. It's not that bad, but the train can get awfully shakey. My boyfriend and I both had a bit of headache afterwards, it has rattled our heads so much. But it's a really excellent ride. So much fun, and it's awesome when you come to the Audio-Animatronic Yeti. You should definitely try it out. The hill that climbs the mountain is very steep and you'll expect to plummet downward afterwards, but you don't. It makes you more on edge because you know there's going to be a big hill to go down sooner or later, and when you finally come to it, it's so much fun. It's really not bad at all. It's a must-see, and probably Disney's Animal Kingdom Park's newest most popular attraction.

Hope I could help! Enjoy your class trip!

I just came back from Disney World. I loved the ride. I rode it 3 times while i was there. It's not the fastest but i enjoyed it. Going forward then backwards then forward again. I think its worth the wait in line also when you go up the hill look around because you can see everything from that height. Have a good trip

It's a really good ride it only goes up to 49mph. thats not to fast. The rollercoster starts at the bottom and builds it's way up it go's around the peak and goes all the way to the top and comes back down like a minute later. In the middle of the ride there is a yeti that will scare you.Speaking of yeti the ride is about a mountain that has snow and is ruled by a Yeti. The ride is very fun and i give it a 8.4 10. HAPPY HOLIDAYZ!!!

P.S The mountain that holds the ride is very tall so you will have a blast...HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME AT DISNEYWORLD!!! :)

When you first board Expedition Everest, the train ascends through a temple dedicated to the yeti. Once the train reaches the mountain, it weaves through some curves before it reaches a torn up portion of the track; this is where the train moves backwards. The train swerves through a dark portion of the mountain until the train stops again; here, you'll see a shadow of the yeti tearing up part of the track. The train will then continue forward through the dark part of the cave and then down one big drop outside the mountain and up into it again. After a few turns, the train encounters the giant life-like yeti. The ride ends soon after the yeti encounter. You can buy a picture of yourself on the ride.

it's Expedition everest and yeah it's freakin awsome! "it's not just an ordinary up and down elevator, it can go front ways and backways and sideways and anywhivch way you can think"

no seriously it goes backwards and stuff, but I like like really fast stuff and it just wasn't fast enough for me, I mean I like stuff like "The raptor" at Ceder Point, and "The rockin rollercoaster" -Disneys MGM studios, and "The dueling dragons" Islands of adventure, "The Incredible Hulk Coaster" Universal studios, and others.

It depends how old you are. My daughters are 11 and 7 and they loved it. As an adult it's just OK. It's definately geared toward kids. It's very slow and the ride is short. (and of course the line is long).

It's a great ride...full of thrills but not too vicious. It has a great attention to detail and I could ride it again and again!
