Here's some advice from the mom of of two grown "boys".....we have always met their girlfriends within a few weeks of their beginning to date. Meeting a parent doesn't mean your are serious, it just means your dating! Ask him WHY he doesn't feel you should meet his family. Maybe they are very disfunctional and he's afraid you will bolt if your meet them and he'll lose you. If you really like him (and after 2 1/2 years I suspect you DO!) assure him your not going to judge him by his family, you like him for who HE is. (Believe me, if I judged MY husband by his wacko family we would not have been married for 26 years! lol !!!) Good Luck!!!

It should be six to twelve months into the relationship. Maybe you should let him know that you want to meet his mother and if something is brewing in the back burner and he is honest, he will tell you. If there is nothing going on, then he will probably introduce you to his mom.

Wow...that seems like a long time but he must have his reasons. If it's really important to you I'd ask him why he's waiting. You seem to have a long term stable relationship, I think it's time you met the family.

If you love him you should wait. Men are odd about a girl meeting there moms, because the moms have really high expations of his girl. Good luck in all you do!
