you can help your varicose veins, by avoiding standing a lot. and exercise. elevate your feet when possible. put some bricks on the foot of your bed to elevate your bed by 3 or 4 inches. you can wear support hose stockings. i had 3 operations done for varicose veins, with good results and did not have a problem. they however came back after 15 years , but not as severe as before. i then had a procedure done, called a sclerotherpy , were they inject a chemical in your veins with needles. this treatment worked well for me, with little pain or discomfort during the treatment. your best bet is to see your GP . hope this helps below is a link for further help do not use heat such as waterbed

Use good support hose recommended for varicose veins. Help improve the circulation by getting on a good diet if you are not already doing that. If you need to lose weight, get down to a healthy size. Check health food stores as herbs are known to help. They should be knowledgeable to help you with the right ones. Try not to sit or stand too long and get a workout like walking on a daily basis. Last but not least, if they are bothering you too much, surgery is an option. I hope you get some relief as I've heard they can be really painful.

To prevent them from getting worse, you can wear compression hose and loose weight.
You can also get some natural treatments, I bought it from Dr Weil's website.
There are creams that are supposed to help.
Finally, you can get rid of the existing ones by surgery, the bad news is that they can come back.
Good luck
