No, I just buy from the heart, regardless who it is, Christmas is a time for giving. That is how I was brought up. :)

I usually buy what i think that person would enjoy even if they never spend that much on anyone else, christmas is about family and good food not how much people spend on you!

It is nice having expensive things at christmas but i say be lucky you get anything there are a lot of people out there who get nothing but a hot meal and are thankful for it!!!!

well i wouldn't blame you for skimping on them too... but i give gifts according to their personal value, not monetary. if it's the right thing for them, it doesn't matter to me if it's cheap or a little exxy... but i can't afford too much anyway.
