That's exactly what just happened to me - just found out yesterday I was pregnant :)
but you know, my breasts got tender right on schedule like they normally do for my period, I was cramping a bit like I normally do, I even got a little weepy like I normally do before my period...but then it all lasted for a week longer than it should with no sign of menstration, and that's when I tested.

This time I had the feeling like I was going to get my period. Some minor cramping (it always got worse during), and I also felt like I was getting the flu that was going around. Then when I still wasn't bleeding my breasts got very tender and decided I better take a test. With an instant positive there was no question in my mind that the "flu" was actually morning sickness that hits at all times of the day!

That's exactly how I felt before I found out I was pregnant. I was having cramps like usual, which I usually get the day before my period comes...but then a day went by, then 2, then 3...so I took a pregnancy test, and sure enough, I was pregnant!

Both of my pregnancies I was sure I was going to get my period-and it never came.I am 31 weeks pregnant now and I still feel as if I could start my period some days-it has been that way my entire pregnancy.

Yes the early symptoms of pregnancy can be the same as when you are about the get your period.
My boobs were usually sore before I got my period... which they will be when your pregnant. and the cramping is your uterus growing, but they feel the same as when you're getting your period.
