Now that I am a bit older, I like both. I have a bit more pocked money and it is fun to spend.
And the message of the day:
A Merrily barking mad, wickedly happy Christmas!

Giving is the true purpose of Christmas as God gave us the greatest gift of all (His only Son) no gift on earth that is given to us by any person will last forever and no gift we give can last, It's the giving of love that is the best gift. What good would it be if someone gave you the whole world and you found out you were going to die the next day how important would it be to own it?
I will seek to build my treasures in heaven material things on earth don't mean much to me,Life here is too short so any thing I own really is only borrowed,It all belongs to God he let me receive it and he can take it at any time, I will give thanks for the time he allowed me to use it.

I honestly don't mind giving gifts but I really do not like to get gifts.
I know that seems odd but that is the way I feel.

prefer giving although truthfully there is one person I would give a lot to receive a card or gift from. have been going together for over 3 years and although I've never missed her birthday or Christmas She has never even sent or given me a card -- let alone a present.

Lately, since I am having trouble with my marriage, giving gifts, especially to my kids or just kids in general. I like making them happy and seeing their excitement, more than getting a crappy guilt present from my spouse.

I love giving gifts now that Im older(16) and I usually love my recently new tradition of suprising my parents w/ stockings for them! I tried it last year and it was so fun to see their faces b/c they had no idea it was coming. And this year I got them a gift certificate to their fav. restaraunt(very romantic amazing italian restaraunt) so they can go on a nice, romantic, well-deserved date!

giving fills my heart more and for longer; I love to surprise people; even people that I don't know; I buy coffee for the person in the drive up line ; I give them 20.00/more and tell them to buy for the people until the money runs out; I donate to animal shelters; dog pads so they don't have to sleep on the kennel floor;help dogs find owners and visa versa ; donate money to charities; I am not rich and don't have a lot ; sometimes even pay check to pay check but I give when I can and what I can; it is that feeling that lifts my the heart the most; money comes and money goes but the feelings live forever; things don't fill a heart; love does.

By far-giving. I cannot wait for my daughter to open one of her gifts-she may love it or hate it. I think it is neat. I am excited over watching her face as she opens it.

I feel more happiness in giving gifts.
But if somebody will give me a gift, i take it for his/her happiness.
God has given me a big gift that is my life.

Enjoy!!!
