If it's a money issue, like paying for something and not getting it, go to your bank if you paid by check or a debit from your checking account. Tell them you were a victim of fraud. Banks take fraud issues very seriously. The bank can reverse the debit from your checking account and put the money back. You would then have to close your account and reopen it with a new number. I had to do this once and the bank snatched back the almost $650 that I had authorized as a debit. When the seller refused to communicate to me I went screaming to the bank and they got my money back. Credit cards are even easier, all you have to do is to dispute the charge and the credit card will reverse it. I've had to do this too a few times. Don't take this stuff sitting down... After you have gone to the bank and handled matters there, then you can do what everyone else is talking about: police, filing complaints, yada yada. But going to the bank first can get your money bank and that's the bottom line. Most crooks just scoff at complaints and summonses, but if you yank your money back from them then they are left standing there pulling their pud.

Did you use a credit card? Call your card company and report them as fraud. They will credit your account, and file a report for you, most likely. Both USBank, and CHASE do this for you if your card is with them.
Good luck.

Have you tried reporting it to the concerned site? Report and post it so others will know and not fall prey to it too.

What happened?
I suggest you check their registration details under "www.whois.net" and contact your telecommunications Ombudsman or overseer or what not you may have in your area.
Also discuss with the police your case and they may be able to assist you.
