depends on the phone some phones they are a big help to other laugh in the face of those things my sanyo scp-200 model can get a signal inside an elavator without a problem. no signal booster needed. my kyocera dorado can barely get a good quality siganal in wal-mart parking lot cellbooster big help to this phone, if phone doesn't break in less than 3 months.
