Is this the reason majority of people are non-religious today? If everything can be reformed in tune with the current context, why not religion? Is there no evolution for religion? Is that why it has difficulty in surviving?

First of all, the 'majority' of people are NOT non-religious. I don't know where you heard that 'statistic.' Secondly, the so called 'modern and scientific' is a value system that is no more 'appropriate' than a persons religion. Do some research and you'll find a lot of the science we take as fact is merely based on observation that are extrapolated so much that one must take them on faith to believe it. Lastly, religion is quite capable of evolving and does so. That is why there are new religious movements.

There are too many crackpot religions that prefer easy answers to careful analysis, but then there are those that offer a moral compass. Technology is good, but some technologies are better not put in place, utilized (it's one thing to have nuclear weapons; it's another to use them), or rushed into. Religions that favor knowledge offer an appropriate compass.

Baha'i Faith principle teaches Progressive Revelation,. Unfolding with each stage of humanity through time a Prophet will come and give the message for that time.Though the social laws may change as need dictates. The truths of God are identical. They come about every 1000 years. Science will finally catch up to religion and isn't meant as compettition to religion. As it advances it may even prove God's truth.

Small ,I believe you are right. Christianity and islam were based on God communicating with people of a certain place, Culture and time. Borders, Cultures an time all change, Humanity itself has evolved. The original scriptures, the vedas, siddha yoga, vedanta philosophy and hinduism are the best source of truth, though their application in your daily life should be somewhat modified. We today, Because of the great Saints who blazed a clear path for us to follow,do not have to perform the severe austerities of the saints of old. We are in and age where people will live in a state of spirituality, Having fufilled the law, no more sinners.Doing practices such as meditation, Mantra, Chanting, Contemplation of truth, etc. Having unity with God in unconditional love within our hearts. No religions, each person will do their chosen practices. All will know that "God dwells within you as you." Having awakened to Gods will, within the kingdom of God, within us, we will let this will (unconditional love) flow through us, creating "heaven on earth"

No, it is not true that religion has become outmoded. Study the Veda, the most scientific of all sciences...it was put in written form 5,000 years ago and will be around long after the "modern" so-called sciences will be forgotten. The creation was first emmanated as sound, as sound is the most potent of all ways to learn. It has direct proof by self-realization, whereaas empirical science relies on the imperfect senses...besides, science is always changing its theories every other Saturday, anyways.

Religion is for those who aren't into the knowledge of evolution in humans. They would rather have the world stay as it is for their personal benefit of seeing everything stay the same so that they actually maintain their current status of power over people. It's all about money and power, and currently, to my pleasure, christianity seems to be failing hardcore now.

i think you are perhaps just thinking/speaking of some of the more well known religions,, there are many others that are very tuned into "the times",, and focused on how to live this life we are in right now today,,,,, , so no, not each and every one,,,, my religion , Unitarian universalism,,,, is very modern , and we are not just a small little group either,,,,, though not one of the major top 5 religions in size,,,,

i think if you checked into that u would find that the majority of the world is religious in one way or another.
Most religions fear any types of change.
Any change messes with there power structure and most people in high places would rather everyone around them suffer then give up just a little bit of power
