Most people dont think that egyptians live in pyramids!!!!! If you have any general education you would know that. I hope that this question will teach many people that you dont because a few people really do think that you live in pyramids. I think that this is because we were all taught about ancient egypt and have never taken the time to look at the present.

People always assume pharos and pyramids when one talks about Egypt. People automatically think of the ancient egyptian civilization. It's kind of our fault because whenever we talk about our culture, we proudly talk of our ancestors forgetting to metion our great present. We need to educate people about the modern Egypt. I live in the U.S and so many people ask me if we still ride the camel for transportation in Egypt. I use this chance to explain to them how different Egypt is now. The media always shows the pyramids and that sticks to people's minds as wells

To be perfectly honest, I used to think everyone in Alaska lived in igloos and Japanese people wore Kimonos all the time! It's natural to form those kinds of ideas when you first learn about a country because they're what distinguish it from other countries. When people watch a movie about Egypt, for example, it'll certainly be full of pyramids; not normal Egyptian people in their normal pajamas eating Corn Flakes for breakfast in their normal kitchen.

weak brains only think like that :P. leveing in cave and riding camels to go works, if they only looks to the trading exchange between them and middel east, they well know where they get there petroleum and where they export goods and services. I think you can review World Trade Org. over the web to imagain the trading value between Amrica and middel east."http://www.wto.org/"
nots:World merchandise imports by region, 2005,(Billion dollars and percentage)
Middle East :Value :"2005" = 322.136
