As I said I uninstalled the driver and hence I have no sound..Could you give me the needed link for free downloading of Realtec'97 for Windows 98. Do you think that after downloading it, I'll be able to selve the problem, if not what else I should do? Thanks a lot.

click on start>run>type restore>ok>click on restore my computer to an earlier time>click on the date before the date you uninstalled the driver>click on next>follow the instructions till the pc restarts

if your sound card is onboard just reload your mobo installer , nothing to worry ,
