4th grade is too young to be on ANYTHING but a BALANCED diet. Your body is still developing, and preparing for puberty. Most fourth grade girls are between nine and eleven.

If they are concerned about their weight, they should eat plenty of fruits and veggies, lean meats, complex carbohydrates, and no sweets or junk food. No sodas, either. Drink milk, juice, and water.

No fourth grader needs to be on a diet.
