We are going to the Dominican Republic in January. Is it better to tip in DR Pesos, and if so how much? This is an all inclusive resort. If I tip in US dollars, is this more acceptable. What is lacking in the Dominican Republic, if we give a gift what is considered approbriate, what are their needs?

No question, US dollar. Most tips are just a dollar for this and that. They are very appreciative. If you have someone really do a good job or you really liked, a "big tip" would be a few dollars, nothing more than 5.

The place is cheap.

Anything will be appreciated, we are a poor country and our people can appreciate whatever is given to them. You can tip them in US dollars, but it will be also OK to tip in RD pesos, money is money anyways.

Have a great vacation, take care and God bless!

You will have a blast of a life time down there, Guaranteed!
