In the spirit of your name and Christmas I'll give this a shot. I don't look for the sexual sites and usually don't run into them. The scientific/research/resource sites are very available, if your search criteria wording is specific enough. As in reality life - the virtual world has obstacles, dangers; you have to use discrimination and care in how you handle yourself in which ever environment you place yourself in. Many people let themselves go more freely and express more inappropriately on the Internet due to thinking they have anonymity. That is changing faster than most realize and the consequences for wreckless clicking/typing/blogging are becoming stronger and more reality felt.
Walk into a bad neighborhood or click into a bad chat room - both are open avenues you can freely travel.
In real life you'll need a body guard and on the computer - virus, mail spam protection.
