not only has he used his headbutt before.....he used it while he was playing with Juve and broke the guy's jaw!!!! i have pictures to prove it....either way if he was a true sportsman he would never have lost his temper the way he did. i grew up in the soccer world and believe me worse things are said!

i agree with you totally, and zidane had no right to do what he did know matter what materazzi said. Football is about exposing your talent not how hard you can head somebody in the chest
@ #1 chelsea fan: if you said that to me i sure wouldnt head-butt you, or hit you in any way for that matter - i would take the world cup and shove it in your face... and if saying trash-talk is unecceptable then what do you call head-butting, an act of total forgiveness.. i dont think so

I know it wasn't the first, but the whole incident was triggered by what Materazzi said, nonetheless. Just because Zidane has done this stuff before, it doesn't mean that Materazzi isn't also to blame.

Like I said, there have been incidents when Zidane has lost his temper and there have also been incidents where footballers
trash-talked. But insulting one's mother or sister is totally inacceptable.
So that means that you're justifying Materazzi.
Fine, one morning I come upto you and call you sister a lesbian slu't. What would you do? Hug me and say that I'm the greatest?
Zidane's action was uncalled for but I think I'll excuse him on account of what that jerk Materazzi said to him....plus he apologised. It's now over. Don't try to bring it up all over again and get people fighting all over the place

well... it was just a spur of a moment thing... maybe he shouldn't have done it... but he wasn't TOO wrong in what he did... he had high hopes on his shoulder but anger can make you lose your composure... that's what happened... i give 99% to materazzi...!!! and yeah... i'm not french!!!
