Just what is it that prevents radical conservatives from seeing the truth about this whacked out administration and how much they are hurting America. It just blows my mind the contempt that this administration has for America. What is up with this blind, hyptnotic following.....very disturbing behavior.

Hey Alchy Boy, you couldn't be more wrong.

Hey FARKAS, the fact that you think I, or maybe you, are not as "smart" as these people you mentioned just proves my point. I worked in both the Pentagon and Capital Hill as a civil servant for many years. These people are no more intelligent than anyone else, they simply have motives that drive them to these positions. I, and possibly you, are just as "smart" as they are. Don't put them up on a pedalstool where they DON'T belong.

Shiraz, you are the one confused about definitions. I may have neocon in my screen name, it was not part of my question. Pay attention.

Well see now this is the problem. They can't justify the blind faith. It's unshakable for them. Honestly, how bad does it have to get before they realize what everyone is gradually waking up to?

It's funny you should ask such a "question":
Moderate conservative here, I support our president.
My husband is a moderate Republican, he supports our president. He's also US Army.
One of our close friends is a conservative DEMOCRAT, and HE supports our president. To add to that, he was telling us just last night that he's met five presidents: Clinton, Bush 41, Reagan, Carter, and Nixon. Under Clinton's administration, he was in the Oval Office three times a week for three years. He's met many other prominent politicians, including Colin Powell (he accidentally stepped on Powell's foot). He admired Clinton, and he knows FIRST-HAND how politics work in DC.
That's more than I can say for many other people who come on here spouting their crap, including myself. I may know politics pretty well (I can hold my own in a conversation), but he REALLY knows politics.
Bush is a figurehead. He has advisers tell him what to do. He doesn't even write his own speeches. Every decision made in DC is only supported by the president. Most of it doesn't come directly from him.
My point? If you're going to blame Bush for everything that's gone wrong over the last six years (9/11, the war in Iraq, Hurricane Katrina, et cetera), you need to ALSO be blaming Congress, the Senate, the Supreme Court, the NSA, the FBI, the CIA, Bush's cabinet and other various staff, and FEMA.
Do you work for any of those? Do you think you could outsmart them? No? Then perhaps you should educate yourself more.
There is more involved on the inside of politics than you (or me, or anyone else!) could possibly imagine.

It's pedestal, not pedalstool. And who's putting them on a pedestal? It's the TRUTH, and it seems to me that some people just can't take it. All that I said in my answer was not opinion, but FACT, and all it requires is basic civics to know that a person can't blame the president OR his administration for everything.
So you were a civil servant. Whoopty-do for you. I had an uncle in the FBI. I know people who currently do administrative work in the CIA.
As a civil servant, you would not have had access to as much classified information as those in the highest reaches of government. You maybe know a bit more than some of us do, but certainly less than those who worked or currently work directly under the executive branch, or the legislative branch.
THAT was my point. And the three thumbs-down I've received so far only tells me that some people on here really ARE as uninformed as I thought they were.
The fact that YOU don't seem to know that the president is just a figurehead, and the people who REALLY hold the power in DC is Congress and the Senate leaves me with doubts that YOU have taken basic civics.
Just blame Bush for everything, since he's the most prominent figure in our government. That's what everyone else does. And assume that anyone who still supports him hasn't done their research, and they're just blind sheep.
FYI, usually it's the MAJORITY that are the sheep, NOT the minority. I don't think this is one of those times that the minority is the sheep. EVERY person I've spoken to that still supports this administration is very articulate on their position, and has true knowledge of the way politics really work.
Conversely, very few people that I speak to who DON'T support this administration can support their position with facts. Instead, they want to quote sites and articles that are easily debunked.
Perhaps you're the exception to that rule. I don't doubt that you're smart...but with a name like "Neocons Suck" I wonder.

I like Sunspot's answer, and would like to add that I would think things would have been "bad enough" long before now. We are facing the END of fossil energy on earth, and doing nothing about it (unless you call invading another country for its few precious drops of what is left "doing something"). We are facing global warming, which combined with the lack of fossil energy needed to transport food to newly-parched areas, will undoubtebly cause billions to starve. and our president is concerned with bigger tax breaks for his friends, and athletes on steroids. To name just a couple...
