Yes, been there in January and the weather is just like a beautiful UK summer. You might need long sleeves at night, that's all.

Great time to go, no chavs. Loads of geriatric Germans though.

went to playa del ingles in january a couple of years ago and it poured rain for four of the days and i mean poured it was comming in through the roof of the pub, if it doesn't rain puerto rico is hot although the centro commercial is quite small, the bus to playa del ingles is cheap and frequent plus taxis are reasonable, about 30 euro i think, the irish bars are the most expensive

IT IS VERY NICE THEN, THE WEATHER IS HOTTER THERE THAN IN TENNERIF,I ALWAYS WENT TO GRAN CANARIA IN JAN FOR THE LAST TEN YEARS,AS IT IS NOT TOO FAR AND THE WEATHER IS SO GOOD, HOPE YOU ENJOY YOURSELF.

Take some shorts you will still get a tan, it will be around 70+ F and 8 hours of sun per day.

I normally stay in Puerto Rico which is about 10 degrees hotter than Las Palmas.
Expect it to be nice and warm.
