The British bookmakers have already installed Kimi Raikkonen as the favourite for 2007.
However, not a single 2007 car has been launched or turned a wheel in anger yet, so it's far too early to predict who will win the 2007 driving title or which team will finish on top.
The majority of the answers you will get are based on nothing more than emotion, really someone just suggesting a favourite driver will win.
Let's wait until we see how the new cars handle those hard-compound Bridgestone tires, but more importantly, let's see who designs a good car and who will continue to successfully develop it as the season progresses.
Who would have thought at this time last year that McLaren and Kimi Raikkonen would go through 2006 without a win? My guess is nobody.

Kimi would have to be the early favorite. Mclaren, Renault, and Ferrari clearly look to be the top teams. While Red Bull will probably make great strides with their first Adrian Newey car and the addition of Webber, this will most likely still be a season of catching up. Honda and BMW round out a group that may stride up to challenge individual racecs, but unlikely they will be championnship contenders.
So, of the top three, you have Renault - great package and team, but lacking a true number one driver. They will most likely be consistent, but don't expect they will often be at the top step of the podium.
Then you have one team with a World Champion to drive the car, and a solid team, but a questionable car package. The 2006 car's pace did not seem to develop from the 2005, and one has to wonder what 2007 will bring with Newey now long gone. Worse, reliability also did not improve, and this could wind up being their biggest problem.
Then you have Ferrari. Schumacher will be missed - especially in testing for his skill working with the engineers. And Brawn is a massive loss. But if these gaps aren't filled, it probably won't show up until around the end of this season. For the moment they show the promise of having a reliable package that will be on the pace. And a true number one driver (and a number two driver that can win a few as well).
Obviously there might be a massive suprise to come, but just looking at what's happened the last couple years and who's gone where, Kimi and Ferrari look really good.

You may never know the answer to this question until September/October. Remember what happened this year? No one knew until the very last/2nd last race!
We all have our favourites, heroes and ...villains. And you have the usual suspects, and you know who they are. It would be nice to see Red Bull or BMW Sauber do well next year. But my support is for the Red Team.
