I would definitely say girl. You can get a little creative with the spelling of girls' names and it can be cute, but I think a boy's name should always be spelled traditionally, i.e., Ashley. I grew up with an "Ashlei" and always liked how her name was spelled. Spelling it like that for a boy is just way too goofy, especially when you consider "Leigh" is a female spelling.

I love the spelling Ashleigh instead of Ashley for a girl. For a boy I don't like it.

Ashleigh is for a girl, if you would like a name like that for a boy, try Ashton. Ashley is a nickname of this name.

Ashleigh or Ashley...either way is for a girl. I know a man named Ashley and it just doesn't fit!
No Robin or Kim for a boy either!

definitely girl. i happen to believe that however u spell it, ashley or ashleigh, is a girl's name. i know there r lots of names that can be unisex, for boy or girl, but to me, ashley is not one of them. girl only. kelly too, girl only.
