I can tell you a little about them. Of the 16 numbers only 8 actually mean anything. it can be any 8 and the other 8 are just there to show which of the other 8 apply for example maybe if a card has the number 1 as the 7th digit it means that the 2nd and 3rd digits of the previous 4 are real (bit confusing).
There are several trillion combinations at least making guessing a number almost impossible. The magnetic strip holds the number also, thats about all i know. Hope that helps.
