does anyone know where i might get hold of old knitting patterns, particularly family knitting book by Argyle please !!!

Try charity shops. I'll have a look for you next time I go too, will post em on to you. As long as you dont need em before Christmas!!

There are lots of sites selling vintage patterns on the web. I would start with your local library. They might have some really old stuff. Plus, it's all free

definitely check out places like goodwill. also, find an older relative or friend who needs help cleaning out their attic, basement, etc; if they were ever a knitter, they may have some patterns hanging around, and they'd probably give them to you for free! : )

I would think the net is your best bet or Family Circle magazine.Try ebay. Good luck
