Tell them always tell the truth. Don't lie to anybody. Specially parents and teachers. Always do their homework. If they did something bad, tell them to apologize. Tell them to speak gently and nicely. Tell them don't cheat anybody.

One of the first things we need is to teach independent thought and reasoning. Today in most schools even in math, we teach children that there answer must be gotten by only one way. The one way they teach today does not reflect the way children were taught before, This makes it hard on parents to keep up with the new wave math to help their children. It would be more important to show your work on how you got an answer than to dictate to the student how. Getting the answer correct using independent thought is more important. Teaching both sides of an issue to children on any subject matter would force an independent mind to analyze the information to come up with their own opinion and not a reflection of the Teachers opinion. many Teachers today dictate their own reality to students so the student cannot have an opinion on a subject.
teaching how to think is more important than teaching how to accept whatever is being spoken about. We must treat our children as the future that they are. Let them live the life of a child and have imagination to create their own future. That alone will improve themselves. take the bias thinking out of the school system, and "TEACH"
