I live in the states, she lives in Englnad with our three kids, we were married in Switzerland and we lived in Germany together for 13 years where our three children were born. Where do we begin? What laws apply since our situation is unique. We both want to make this as painless as possible. Are there any sites out there that can lead us along without the use of solicitors?

Divorce is usually regulated by the place of your permanent residence. Consult a lawyer from that place.

Given your unique situation, I would strongly you at least consult a lawyer for intial advice on how to legally handle this.

An inquiry to the Swiss embassy might bring answers as well, but I still recommend an attorney.

How i glance at this is that i do no longer think of this is incorrect to marrying divorce as long as God see that we are marrying into God's eyes. i'm a stuggling Christain. I have been given divorce and dated a guy who grew to become into attempting to get divorce. yet... something to the ingredient that we the two relized that we could desire to attend a sprint longer. I pray to God precise now to forgive US for which... that what all of us ought to do. now and lower back, we could have been given married because of the fact we'd have cherished to know the way it sense and then divorce is a painful ingredient... yet i do no longer think of this is incorrect as long asking God to forgiveness and see how we pass alongside with that.
