The person who takes the medicine, normally needs higher doses of medication. He is worried that his blood pressure is too high 152/91 he is age 60. He stood up and got dizzy... and for one he stood up too fast, he's also been sick the last 3 days with a funky infection rash like bumps on his back that even the doctor doesn't know what they are. Just curious if the Motrin has any inclination on his BP or if it could be just cuz he's sick.

Yes, ibuprofen can have a direct effect on blood pressure as a side effect. I presume his doctor is aware of the dosage of Motrin he is taking? If not you should let them know as soon as possible. This may also be the cause of his sickness, this is a very common side effect of NSAIDS.

If it was my father I would insist he discontinue use of the Motrin immediately and get something different from his doctor to help manage the pain.

You are always best checking any medication worries with a health professional who knows the history of the patient.

Karma.

Motrin can cause the BP to go up, but not for the obvious reasons. It upsets the balance of chemistry in the body. When the balance is changed the body reacts to this change. Most likely fear of being sick is the real reason for the hight blood pressure. Tell your friend to get some garlic in his diet. Either eat it or get it in capsules. There seems to be some pain present. Is that why there is so much motrin being taken? Address the cause of the pain. Pain makes the body react violently. This certainly can raise BP.

This particularly unusual and commonly i'd say no..ear wax does not boost blood tension. yet..I too take inderal...and that i too have had recurrent ear wax issues, ringing in the ears and blood tension going up and down. Your blood tension would have went up with the aid of rigidity over the ear project and checklist visit. consistent with risk we decide on a sparkling medicine.
