The reason so many people are being killed or displaced in Darfour is entirely to do with OIL.Black gold.
It was discovered in viable quantities recently and it has been hushed up by major petro-companies that are deliberately provoking instability so that the control over the Darfour area will be handed to a party most amicable to such interests.
Before Oil was found in Darfour- there were never any major problems- no-one had ever heard of Darfour being a hotspot. The whole issue is very murky.
Yes- I completely agree that the West has a moral duty to act- but it is unlikely to as prospective change in Sudan seems to be more attractive than the current rule.

The Darfur difficulty is complicated of many issues that have festered for some years in international politics. however the answer doesn’t could be. First, tell the UN to return to their places of work and take a protracted nap, then unilaterally take our militia in there and win the &@$* ingredient. Our authentic subject is that no one has the desire to be sure who the best adult adult males are and then get worried with fixing it. i comprehend it sounds too simplistic, yet for fifty years, we've enable third international international places get away with homicide, actually, by using fact we've offered the UN philosophy that peace is tremendous, yet no longer while it comes at too extreme a value—or if there's a dollar to be made. So whether the U. S. has an answer, it has grow to be too politically inconvenient to act on it. That is going for many conflicts that drag on for some years and many years on an identical time as all of the 'smartest adult adult males interior the room' can in basic terms wring their arms and want somebody, absolutely everyone yet them, are the 1st on the scene so as that they'd wax eloquently approximately how they could do it greater useful in the event that they have been there. And god help you once you are the 1st on the scene. The UN, the international thugs, the 'psychological elite', the media, and the ecu will all nit %., 2nd wager, and at last crucify you and then no longer raise a finger to help. Then, they are going to line up on the UN, on your person soil, and one via one blast you and contact your leaders names and your person media will cause them to into heroes on an identical time as your toddlers watch and settle on that there is no longer something good approximately you or your united states of america on an identical time as the enemy waits for the single technology again alongside that gained’t raise a finger of their very own protection. The Darfur difficulty is symptomatic of many issues.

I agree with the previous answer. The UN will do nothing, and if the US does anything to interfere with the sovereignty of the country of Sudan...we would be viewed as invaders, occupiers, oppressors, etc. Maybe the US and UK will sit this one out, and let the rest of the world handle it.
Oh wait, the rest of the world are countries like Russia who doesn't really care....or they're a bunch of useless tossers with no mandate and an inherent ability to provide any meaningful action or assistance.

As both the US and UN doen't seem to be able to do anything other then say "oh how terrible", I think that mabey NATO should get involved. NATO always seems to be better at acting then the UN.

It is the Chinese who are arming the Sudanese government and frustrating UN resolutions with their veto, to protect their oil interests.
If you want to bait the US, this is not the right issue.
