The UN is currently there to enforce the cease fire, which includes the Lebanese government taking control of the south were Hezbollah and Israel were fighting. However because of the weak wording of the cease fire, which has many concessions to both camps, and the weakness of the Lebanese government the UN will probably have a rather hard job.

In addition to carrying out its original mandate under Council resolutions 425 and 426 (1978), UNIFIL would, among other things, monitor the cessation of hostilities; accompany and support the Lebanese armed forces as they deploy throughout the South; and extend its assistance to help ensure humanitarian access to civilian populations and the voluntary and safe return of displaced persons.

The UN has ceased to be a viable, functional organization. It is mocked and ignored by even the smallest countries. The inside corruption is beyond imagination. Until it fixes itself it cannot help anywhere else.

None. The UN is a waste of time most of the members are trouble makers. They should be kicked out of the US and send them to France.
