Ok so if you went back in time to kill your mum (Just an example) that means that when you went back to the future you would never be born. But then if you were never born then you could never go back in time to kill your mum in the first place so does that mean she was never killed?
I was also confused in back to the future i, ii, ii (Oh yeh i totally suppory Michael J Fox!)
Umm yea can anyone help me figure this out?
Thanx.

well actually this is a problem for those who study physics and investigate the possibilities of time travel. It is called the grandfather paradox. In that version the person kills his / her grandfather before they are able to procreate.
Some scientists think that this in fact disproves the possibility that time travel is possible. However, there are other scientists who think that there are multiple ( maybe infinite ) universes out there apart from our own and that such an event would cause the killer's original universe to become separate from the universe in which he killed his grandfather. In that now separate universe the dead body of the grandfather ( in your case, mother ) and the killer would exist, but the grandfather and his offspring ( mother ) would continue to exist in the universe that the time traveler travelled from. They would not die or cease to exist ..
It seems therefore that under this theory, since change is inevitable simply by the presence of the time traveller on the scene, that under the multiple universe theory that time travel is ultimately just a form of universe travel.
However, this is obviously conjecture at best. There are no known ways to time travel, nor is there any proof that such things are possible.

Now dont go and burst so many of the brain cells that your killing just overthinking this!!! You might need them for brain surgery in the future...lol
The going back in time thing well I hate to break it to you.......
ITS HOLLYWOOD.
If you actually went back in time to make sure that you were not born, then you would be stuck there in that time!
You would not be able to return to where it is you started from because (your right) you would never have been there in the first place.
It's called a conondrum or how do they say a "rip in the time continuum" which would throw the rest of the time warp into a total spin.
Thats why that old dude got stuck travelling around all the time!
But bottom line is they can put anything they want into movies for the "enjoyment" of the fans so deary....... just ENJOY and don't sweat it so much.
Besides Michael J. Fox (to me) was and is always that "A FOX".
.........think about it...then forget it....... lol

You can disprove Back to the Future and any time travel movie logically. It's about fun, not science. In reality, since people are inherently malicious, the second someone figures out how to go back in time the world will instantly be destroyed because of the subsequent evils that would come. Of course, as you say, that is impossible because as soon as its destroyed there would be no one to destroy it which disproves either time travel or the idea of a single universe. I have my theories about time travel but I take them lightly and this is no place to discuss them.

Albert Einstein theory of opposite polarity indicated that somewhere in the universe through the opposite channels of the time tunnel ( the blackchole) there is a direct imaginery of another planet which resembles our own and life forms on that planet is the opposite reflection of our current life here on earth.
i cannot comprehend or imagine what this means...but i do agree things are a cause and effect relationship..for every action their is a reaction....if we plant the seeds of evil...the end product of evil will haunt us..if we plant the seeds of goodness...then the end product of goodness will surely come...
so before you make a decision to whether plant good or evil..think of the available consequences...and you will surely know what you should do,,,,,

I agree with you. Jeff Hardy is entertaining and loves his fans and does lots of stuff for us. You mentioned the 30 foot flip off of a ladder, that is typical Jeff. Jeff is one of my favorites and you never quite know what he is going to do next. You can be sure it will have you on the edge of your seat cheering... Tonight at No Way Out he did a Swanton Bomb off the top of the Elimination Capsule, it was amazing.

Time travel means you would have an alternate self... Whether or not you die due to past events depends on your theory on time travel lol

The past doesn't exist, it's gone. The future doesn't exist, it's not here yet. All that exists is this, here, now. Be there or be square.
