I have looked and looked on the web but I cant find a single statistic of how many DNA labs or banks there are in the US or any other country I tryed. I would like to know just how many labs there are for a school report but I need help finding this info or is it forbiden to the public?

Well I was thinking human DNA labs and of any kind but I would also like to know the number of labs for animals and such. I think this information should be public info unless for some reason the number of labs is nat security somehow?

actually there is no estimate offically
it is believed tht there are around 1000 labs

Depends on your definition of a DNA lab. Doing PCR is now commonplace, and the 1000 estimate is way below my estimate. Roche may have an idea. The question is do you mean human DNA, or just genetic testing. What kind of testing are you talking about as well.
