Deborah Tannen wrote an article called "Sex, Lies, and Conversation." In it she discussed some of her findings in how men and women communicate, both with the same sex and between each other. She found that women bond through communication, whereas men tend to bond by doing things with each other. This was constant all the way through childhood to adulthood.

If you want to check out the article, she had a lot more information about the way we communicate. Interesting stuff, I thought.

Females are as talkitive as males, if the males are in the right environment. However due to evolution we actually respond to different frequencies. As the hunters of the team, the males have a hearing lfrequency evel set below that of the females, who were evolved to care for the infant children.

Social care of the children, and interaction with the Alpha Female is the way that all social grouped apes manage to work, and for the female half of us homo sapians, holding and caring for a child, or grooming the Alpha female - was an instant method of being acepted by the rest of the group. Baboons - even males will pick up a child to use as a sheild, when entering new groups, as no adult baboon would harm a child babboon, so he is left un-attacked.

Males bond with team events, a trick we developed for gathering food, a team is a more effective hunting unit, so it around sport that most of us come out of our shells- and we chat just as silly as the girls - if we were honest enought to admit it.

Also it is to do with brain size, as the female brain is physically smaller than its male counterpart. This has nothing to do with intelligence, as the information is carried on the surface, and its the amount of ripples = surface area that controls inteligence.

but what it does do, is allow the majority of female brains to have shorter chemical links to the social centers of the brain, which read body language and language skills. Thus the female half of the team finds social interaction a little easier than the male half of the team.

Having a larger area between the ears, allows for more links inside the brain of some males, who seem to be better at organising data into subjects like spatial awareness, which is a good survival technique for hunting.

But we are all individuals, and this is only a generlisation, that applies to the majority of each sex, there are mnany exceptions to this rule.

All the marriage books I have ever read talk about how women have more words to use in a day than men do. It's just something about the way we're wired. It's even true when you look at small children.

They like fellowship by creation. If somebody is ready to listen, they will keep on talking endlessly. They like it. They will find joy even in simple things. If you take them to a store, the colours will attract them well. All things will attract them more. They will like to stay there for a long time. If they go a textile showroom, they will ask the salesman to show almost all the cloths. They even ask them to open and want to see each and every design in that.

excuse you!!!!!

what are you talking about? men talk as well not just about the same things as women do!

and besides women like to socialize while men keep their feelings bottled up resulting in causing harm to themselves and others because they tend to be bad at verbalizing their thoughts.

maybe if you talked to us properly you would see we have many interesting things to say
dont be jealous that we get good company and gain knowledge through our conversations!
yes the women that gossip are a different story....they are an embarrassment to real women....but there are men who BS like that too!!

It's in our genes. Women have a better developed language center in the brain. Baby girls learn language faster than boys of the same age and girls are often doing better in language classes.

the answer is simple really..
women are more expressive than men, which means women can express their thoughts much easier than men, they're more intouch with that part in they're brains.

though, i would say that emotions are a bit ahead of logic in this case.
I guess in the end it all leads to balance.

You have not met the chatterbox guys at my job. You should meet them. I guarantee that you will change your mind once you see that you can't get a word in edgewise.

Merry Christmas

Because women like to communicate with their mouths. Men are more apt to communicate using body language.
