Its 11.30pm and I just finished watching 'Gladiator'. (for the umptenth time) I dont know what it is about this movie but it always causes water to flow from the eyes and lumps to form in my throat. Does this ever happen to you? And from which movies?

A movie isn't Worth watching if it doesn't capture your emotions, whether it's sadness, joy, fear, whatever. Some Kleenex movie moments for me would be, believe it or not, Forest Gump, and everyone laughs at me for that one, The Notebook, Million Dollar Baby,Pearl Harbor, well you get the idea.

The Bridges of Madison County. When she's in her husbands truck with her hand on the door handle. Makes me cry every time.
The Notebook. Several different places but mostly when RG's character sees her at the restaurant with her new man. Sobbfest!

I know this is straying from the question but I remember the movie that evoked the most intense feeling I've ever had was The Exorcist. I watched it when I was 12 and I still remember not being able to move a muscle the whole time the movie was on. I had terrible nightmares for months. I slept with the light on for about a year! Seems foolish 26 years later but it really affected me then.

You know what movie has a surprisingly touching ending? 50 First Dates. It hits you right here. I'd have to say Cast Away for the lump in the throat guarantee. And Titanic.

Gladiator's an awesome movie, but it hasn't caused me to cry. But I have cried when I saw Superman, Batman Returns, and Return of the Jedi, where father figures and a tragic villan die.

It happened to me watching the new Rocky film. It's because of how truthful and down to Earth it was about what it takes to be a real man.

It happens if you see a movie for so many times. Stop seeing it over and over.
