Two of the most common factors are too much direct sunlight; and too salty or heavily-flouridated tap water. It can also be due to infrequent watering, especially if the leaves are starting to curl up.

Bamboo's have a way of eating their soil. Make a fist and push down the soil from the top and add soil then water your Bamboo, it also helps to spray water on your bamboo plant once a week.

it probably needs more natural light. if you cant open a window, or if its always overcast, go to a pet store. they sell tiny flourescent lights that mimic the sun. before any of this, however, double check that the plant has an avaliable nutrient source. this should solve your problem

Not enough sun or too much direct sun. Too little water or overly salty or chlorinated tap water. Maybe you could by a plastic one?
All good answers, so far, and both are correct.
