I don't go into religion & spirituality and ask questions like why isn't cold fusion viable in these modern times so why do they come here and bother everyone else by asking a question that they have no interest in hearing other peoples opinions if the answer doesn't have the word god in it?

Science and religion will always be inextricably linked to each other and you, as an intelligent person, can understand that at the very least.

Religion encroaches on Science's territory (and vice versa) because one cannot always separate the spiritual from the scientific leanings of mankind. Religion is based on feelings (on the metaphysical) and Science on thought and logic (on observation).

I too am bothered by such questions in what is supposed to be a Science forum, but I've learned to ignore the fundamentalist rants of religious zealots around these parts. You should ignore them too. After all, small-mindedness and ignorance know no boundaries.

they ask such questions for the same reason that some goofy woman asked, "Am I pregnant," in the Computer and Internet section. The best thing to do is ignore any question you don't want to answer. That way, you don't get your feathers ruffled and get upset. Some people still try to find God in a scientific way. I ignore them, and you should, too.

They're usually god and science questions. And yes, lot of questions are just rants. Nothing I'll worry about really. Plus they don't shove questions at you (some post same thing over and over in which case they can get suspended some times). They're just there and you don't have to respond at all. If it bothers you so much to see slightest offensive words than you shouldn't be on internet.

Religion and science have been in conflict for centuries so I suppose that some religious people are just trying to stir you up . Relax and just ignore the god questions.

Probably for the same reason that you complain about God questions in Astronomy.
