what are the main features of a community web site?

I have a community web site designed for kids
it's a non profit one, runs on free hosts, uses free php,pearl scripts no google ads

it includes
a messge board (yabb)
php based chat room
blog software
photo, music & video sharing
web mail
quiz programs
flash games

how do i improve my site? what features should i add
should i switch to phpbb?
