Honestly, it's men who are much safer working apart from women. An accusation of sexual harassment suddenly puts a man in a "guilty until proven innocent" situation, so he's in trouble even if he did nothing. Also, putting women in positions that require a lot of physical strength and mental stability such as the police, firefighters, or the army makes an environment even less safe for men. Their qualifications are much lower, and it's always possible that the women received the position through a desire to create a "gender balance." The result is often poor performance and a loss of unit cohesion.
Maybe if the situation were truly equal this wouldn't be the case. But as it stands right now, men are much safer working apart from women.

Sure it's safe. I've worked in places with both men and women around and it's always been fine. Sure there is some drama with sexual relationships happening, some people cheat with co-workers in some companies but nothing life threatening. I find myself happier when women are around, even if some of them can be complete b*tches because it's depressing when it's just men.
And usually when it's just men, there's always the in-the-closet homophobe who starts acting out his aggressions on the staff in passive aggressive ways. Which is annoying.

I've worked with a lot of women at my job and I haven't seen that much trouble. An occasional sexual harrassment issue crops up every three or four years, but as long as everyone working at the store has a certain level of maturity, its never a problem.

it depends on the type of work ...
woman working in the army or in law enforcement may feel more comfortable sharing the dormitory with the same sex...
the social culture is also predominant in guiding the right motion.
i often find women feel more comfortable in working with their own sex because they feel more at ease and easy to converse in groups...when men is around they often get uptight and less open ....
In america where the social gender is more equal...there are less worries about male and female culture...where in asian countries and developing worlds, there is still a predominant culture difference between men and women.
so it is difficult to answer your question..it depends on which country you are living in and what is the cultural traditions of that country

yes it is safe ...... , we are now in a century where work /relationship within workers has improved .....why would it be unsafe to work with men ? i cannot imagine nowadays,co-workers being separated ? on what legal grounds ? and who would establish such a law ? impossible .......
i have worked all my life with men , never had any big problems,as a matter of fact ? how one can work in a singular :sex;race etc ? this is unthinkable today ...
gee.......how boring if men /women would have to be separated in society .......?!

Yes it is as long as the boundaries between the sexes is respected. What I mean by that when a man or a woman get a sexual urge towards one another it is wiser for them to keep it in check and yes, people can do that.
Again yes it is really safe and yes I have had a boss approach me for sexual favors and I set him straight. I would've been fired, which I wasn't, so who cares? I stood up for myself.

Men and women are two sides of a coin of society. If they really want to develop and bring equality, it is an oppertunity to work together, but, they should have respect to each other at work place as they are staying in their house together. We should change our narrowness of mind than to make seperate work place.

Yes--if the men have been properly socialized to behave respectfully toward women. That doesn't happen in some backward countries.

It's safe. I see no reason for separation, if they are both qualified at the job.
